About the festival

The International Festival of Animated Films

TOFUZI is held every October in Batumi, the capital of Adjara on Georgia's Black Sea coast. The festival encourages the exchange of creative experience between Georgian and foreign artists, the search for new ideas, styles and technologies, and the integration of Georgian animation into the global cinema process.

It seeks to bring animation as an attractive form of culture to children in regions of Georgia where cultural events are rare, and overall to popularise animated film among adults and children alike.
