DOT. LINE. PATTERN
The movie Dot. Line. Pattern was made as part of the project of bringing local haritage closer to kids. It shows Easter eggs and doormats, objects that are tipical for White Carniola region of Slovenia. Belokranjska pisanica is an Easter egg decorated in a special way, with the help of wax and paint. Although they can be broken quickly, many of them have been preserved in the Belokranjski muzej/ Museum of White Carniola. The oldest are more than a hundred years old. A doormat is a rectangular piece of domestic linen that had the function of a towel. Embroidered doormats with typical local patterns were used in ceremonies. In the animated film, the students presented Easter eggs and doormats in a peculiarly original way.
