This animated film tells the story of two friends—Noor, from India, and Marzia, from Afghanistan—who meet in a refugee community center in Ioannina, Greece. When they first become friends, Noor struggles to pronounce Marzia's name and instead calls her JasMin, a name that gives the film its title. As their bond deepens, rice and lentils—staple ingredients in their respective cultures—become symbols of resilience, identity, and the shared experiences that unite them.
